Textiles for HOUSE J
Pace: Tokyo
Date:2022.2
In daily life, we often take for granted the changing dynamics of space and light. Thus, I wanted to create an awareness that encourages people to appreciate the beautiful moments within a space. The theme revolves around the sky and clouds.
The kitchen curtains consist of layered panels in different colours: grey shading, pink, and yellow. This design subtly changes colours as time passes. In the morning, you experience a bright and soft pink hue, while in the evening, the impression shifts to grey and purple.
The white, thick partition represents a cloud and is made of double-faced textiles. The front is velvet, and the back is herringbone. When these textiles reflect light, they create different impressions. I attached a very thin fabric in a round shape to the partition, ensuring it does not appear too heavy.
